Jamaican-born, Connecticut-based dancehall artist and Vybz Kartel hype man MC Nuffy has signed New Jersey Reggae Ambassador Ras Emmanuel to an exclusive booking contract.

In a Caribbean Life interview, Nuffy praised Emmanuel’s talent and energy, calling him a “real youth” and highlighting their mutual Virgo connection.

“I respect him to the next level,” he said. “I will be handling his bookings, so link me on IG @officialmcnuff.”

This move marks a continuation of MC Nuffy’s work behind the scenes in the dancehall industry.

“Ras Emmanuel is not the first person I am doing bookings for, so nothing nuh change inna Nuffy game,” Nuffy added.

The collaboration between Nuffy and Emmanuel began last summer and gained momentum when Nuffy played Emmanuel’s powerful track “Dancehall Forever” during Vybz Kartel’s Freedom Street concert at the National Stadium in Kingston, the Jamaican capital, on New Year’s Eve.

Nuffy said the song resonated deeply with the crowd, delivering a message that echoed Kartel’s impact on the genre.

“Ras Emmanuel sent me the song, and it was swinging in the direction where he was saying dancehall can’t die,” he said. “And I said, you know that song is for Kartel because when he comes back a road, we a go make this thing a staple.

“The dubplate mashed up the place,” Nuffy added. “It was not normal inside the stadium” he stated.

MC Nuffy said he continues to tour globally as the official MC for Vybz Kartel, with post-incarceration performances that have not only reaffirmed Kartel’s status as a dancehall icon but also expanded his global reach.

Nuffy said Kartel has sold out concerts in New York, Atlanta, Miami, Guyana, Trinidad, Bahamas, Tortola and Barbados, and will soon head to Europe with stops in Amsterdam, Paris, Germany and a highly-anticipated performance at the O2 Arena in London.

“The tour with Kartel is going fine. Everything a gwarn good,” Nuffy said. “We just a keep up and stay up to make the thing continue. A just the love of the Lord a do it.”
