The Reggae Fest Massive lit up the Barclays Center on Aug. 31, bringing together a stellar lineup of reggae and dancehall legends in one unforgettable night, with Mr. Vegas in particular electrifying the center in downtown Brooklyn.
Haitian-American entertainment publicist Marie Driven told Caribbean Life on Tuesday that the stage was graced by Serani, Wayne Wonder, Mr. Lexx, T.O.K., Ding Dong/Ravers, Ricky Blaze, Elephant Man, Vanessa Bling, Skeng and Madvodo, as well as Mr. Vegas, among others.
“Each artist delivered an outstanding performance, but Mr. Vegas stole the show with his epic set,” said Driven, the managing partner of the Brooklyn-based PlaybookMG.
“From the moment Mr. Vegas stepped onto the stage, the energy inside Barclays Center skyrocketed,” she added. “Known for his high-energy performances and magnetic stage presence, Mr. Vegas did not disappoint.
“The crowd erupted into cheers as he launched into his hit list, and the energy only escalated from there,” Driven continued. “Each song seemed to inject more life into the crowd, prompting waves of arms in the air, singing, and dancing.
“Mr. Vegas is a true legend in the music industry, and his performance at Reggae Fest was nothing short of top-tier,” she said. “He brought the energy fans craved, turning the Barclays Center upside down.”
Mr. Vegas also told Caribbean Life: “90s, 2000s dancehall rules. The songs that other artistes and I have done sets the bar very high, when it comes to music that people can dance to and sing along.
“This was evident at Reggae Fest, Barclays Center,” he added. “All the featured artistes did their part to ensure the massive had the best time of their lives.”
